2.00pm - 2.45pm The Big Choir
The Big Choir is a group of enthusiastic amateur singers who love to sing and perform together. We meet weekly and have 3 sessions to choose from. Full details can be found on our website: www.thebigchoir.org
Members pay a monthly subscription with all profits going to The Francis Crick Institute in Kings Cross for research into 200 different types of cancer. We are aiming to donate £20,000 at our Christmas concert cheque donation to Cancer Research UK.
We’re back for regular rehearsals the first week of September and would love to see lots of new members coming to join us. There are no auditions, and you don’t need any previous experience.
The one thing that unites all our members is a love of singing, at any level. Please get in touch to book your free taster email@example.com
3.00pm - 4.00pm Badra Bellydance
My name is Samantha, I have been belly dancing since 2000 and teaching since 2003. I trained as a Bellydance teacher with the JWAAD (Josephine Wise Academy of Arabic Dance) and have taken classes with the top teachers & dancers from the UK, USA and Cairo such as Josephine Wise, Randa Kamal, Raqia Hassan, Aida Nour, Galit Mersand, Azzia, Kay Taylor and Princess Faharna to name but a few.
My classes are welcoming, upbeat and fun, and are attended by ladies of all ages, shapes and abilities. I combine traditional Egyptian dance with modern & fusion so there is something for all. The only problem is, you may find your self becoming addicted to the sensual exotic moves and music of the middle east. Not to mention the wonderful sparkly fab outfits we can dress up in - what more could a girl want?
Bellydance is great for the body and the mind. It's a great way to tone, burn calories and mobilise all your joints so help with those aches and pains. Don’t let things get you down, come along to class and shimmy your stress away. When dancing, your body produces is own natural happy drug which can lift your spirits!
